Sometimes you run into an issue and the WebPT Support team may ask you to take a screenshot of your browser's console to help us figure out the issue that you are having. Providing these screenshots will help resolve the issue faster.
This example uses Google Chrome, but the process will be similar with any browser you may be using.
- Make sure you are on the webpage that the issue is occurring on.
- Once the issue has happened, right-click on the page. A menu will appear.
- Select Inspect.
- In the new window that appears, navigate to the Console tab.
- From here, take a screenshot of what you see in the Console. To take a screenshot using a Windows computer, you can use the Snipping Tool program that comes preinstalled.
- Once you have the Snipping Tool open, click on New, and then drag the cursor around the area you want to capture.
- If you are using a Mac, press and hold the buttons Shift- Command(⌘)- 4 on your keyboard. The pointer will change to a cross-hair. Next, move the cross-hair to where you want to start the screenshot, then drag to select an area. When you've selected the area you want, release your mouse or trackpad button. To cancel, press the Esc (Escape) key before you release the button. Once you have taken your screenshot, you will find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.
- Once you have the Snipping Tool open, click on New, and then drag the cursor around the area you want to capture.
- Attach the screenshot to an email and sent it to the WebPT Support representative.
