2019 ICD-10 Code Changes (Effective October 1, 2018)
ICD-10 updates go into effect on October 1, 2018. Most Members will not be affected by the changes. Please visit the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for additional information.
Deleted Codes
We have determined that the following codes are currently being used in active episodes of care by Therabill Members and will be deleted on 10/1/2018. If you are treating a patient and one of the deleted codes, as found in the list below, is their only treatment diagnosis, you'll need to update the ICD-10 code prior to finalizing documentation after 10/1/2018.
- E728 - Other specified disorders of amino-acid metabolism
- G513 - Clonic hemifacial spasm
- G710 - Muscular dystrophy
- I638 - Other cerebral infarction
- K352 - Acute appendicitis with generalized peritonitis
- K353 - Acute appendicitis with localized peritonitis
- K613 - Ischiorectal abscess
- M791 - Myalgia
- O860 - Infection of obstetric surgical wound
- P048 - Newborn affected by other maternal noxious substances
- P742 - Disturbances of sodium balance of newborn

- Z134 - Encounter for screening for certain developmental disorders in childhood
