480 - Entity's claim filing indicator. Usage: This code requires use of an Entity Code.

This error indicates that the Insurance is missing the required Indicator (Plan Type) on the claim. Insurances require the correct filing indicator to be present on the claim in order to accept it.

How to Resolve in Therabill

Follow the steps below on how to edit the Plan Type field on the Insurance card and resubmit the claim. If you do not know the Indicator (Plan Type) for the insurance, you may need to reach out to the payer directly.

1. From the Edit Claim Information section of the EDI rejection page, click the Pencil  icon next to the client’s name.
   
   
2. In the Insurance cards section, find the insurance card you’d wish to edit then click the Pencilicon to edit.
   
   
3. In the Policy Info section, select the Plan Type drop-down to choose the correct Plan Type. Note: For Example, if the Insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield, you will need to select the Blue Cross/Blue Shield type.
   
4. Click Apply Edits at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
5. To resubmit the claim, click Resubmit Electronically at the top of the EDI rejection page.
   
    
6. Then click Submit in the green highlighted box indicating the payer to finalize the changes and resubmit the claim.
   
   

WebPT Integrated Members

To make this change permanent, you must update this information directly in the WebPT EMR. Otherwise, the next time you save in WebPT, the information entered there will flow over and overwrite any changes you've made.

In the WebPT EMR

1. Under Insurance Manager on the left-hand side, select Display Insurance.

2. Locate the insurance, using filters if needed, and select Edit.
   

3. Under the Details, select the Type drop-down to make your selection.
   

4. Select Save Insurance.
