If for any reason, you want to show in the schedule that a provider is busy or should not be scheduled, for example, they will be on vacation or they have a doctors appointment, then you can block that time off by entering an event into the schedule.
What is an Event?
An event is any non-therapy item that you want to add to your scheduler. It could be an office party, a meeting, a scheduled phone call. Or maybe you just want to show a block of time where one or more of your providers should not be scheduled. An event is NOT a scheduled session and it is entered using a different form. That is, you do not enter an event using the add session form in Therabill.
How to add an Event
An event can quickly be added to your schedule from the dashboard or from the day view, week view or availability view of your calendar. The dashboard is the first page you see whenever you log in to Therabill. At the top of the list of sessions on your dashboard, you will see a button labeled New Event (see image below, red arrow).
You can also add an event from your schedule, directly from the quick add session form. When on day view, week view or availability view of your schedule, click on the time that you would like to schedule the event. At that time, a Quick Add form will open up (see image to the right). At the top right of the Quick Add Session form, you will see a link labeled Add Event. Click the Add Event link to open up the add event form.
The add event form will now open up (see image to the left). Fill in the event information. The title can be anything (i.e. Vacation, or Pizza party). You can enter a recurrence the same way you can for sessions. For example, if you would like to have this event entered into the schedule on every Monday. On the right, choose which providers the event applies to by putting a check next to their name. You can also indicate a tile color for this event to make it more prominent in your calendar. When you are done, click the Add Event button at the bottom left (or top right) to save the event to your calendar.
