Overview
By default, and always on month view, the calendar is color-coded by the rendering provider of the session. However, when you are in the day, week, or availability view, you can color code the session tiles with various coloring schemes.
Changing your colors
You will see the current coloring scheme listed on the left side of the calendar. For example, your current color scheme is by Profession. Each provider will have a colored box associated with it. Click on the colored box to select a color from the color picker. Once selected, any sessions associated with that provider will display with the color selected.
Therabill Saves Your Colors
Therabill saves your color choices, therefore, you can create your color scheme one time and Therabill will remember those colors each time you log in.
Changing what your calendar is colored by
By default (and always in month view), your calendar is being colored by the rendering provider. However, Therabill offers several color schemes that you can choose from. To change what your calendar is being colored by, change the Color By drop-down menu to the color scheme that you would like to view. Available choices at the time of this writing are as follows.
- Provider: This is the rendering provider of the session.
- Provider Prof Abbr: When adding a rendering provider in Therabill, you can create your Profession abbreviations. If you are assigning profession abbreviations to your therapists (rendering providers) then you can choose to color code by the profession abbreviation. This is very customizable, depending on what you are using the profession abbreviation for. For example, if you are using the profession abbreviation to indicate a profession type (i.e. SLP, PT, OT), then coloring by profession abbreviation would allow you to color code by profession.
- Facility: This allows you to color code the calendar by billing address, main office, and junior office.
- Billing Status: The billing status allows you to set colors based on whether the session is unconfirmed, confirmed, open to insurance, closed to insurance, or has a zero balance.
- Documentation Status: The documentation status allows you to set colors based on whether the session is confirmed, has documentation started, or is finalized.
- Service Code: This will allow you to set different colors for all of the service codes/CPT codes.
- Session Class: If you are using session classes in Therabill, this will allow you to color code your calendar by your session classes. Note: Sessions that are assigned to a session class that is of type Cancelled/No Show will always show grey in your calendar (when viewing canceled sessions in your calendar).
- Client Plan Type: This will color code the tiles on the calendar by the plan type that you have entered for the primary insurance card for the client associated with the session. The plan type is set on the add / edit insurance card form for the patient.
- Client Identifier: This will color-code the tiles by the client identifier that you have set for the patient.
- Recurring: This will color code the calendar by two types, recurring and non-recurring. Recurring sessions are those sessions that are a member of a recurrence (you set the session up as recurring when you added the session).
- Assigned Tile Color: The add/edit session form has a color box on it. You can use that tile color box to create a color for that session. You can then Color By the assigned tile color to view your calendar by those tile colors. This gives you the ability to create your own coloring scheme.
Canceled Sessions
If you are using session classes in Therabill to cancel your sessions, then sessions that you assigned to a canceled type will always show up as grey in your calendar (as long as you are viewing canceled sessions).
