Create a client payment receipt using the following steps.
- Navigate to Payments > Search Payments.
- Use the search filters to locate the payment you want to create the receipt for. You will typically enter the client's name, a specified date range, and to only show client payments.
- Click the Tools icon next to the payment.
- Select Create Receipt from the menu.
- The receipt will automatically download as a PDF. You can also use the popup window to send the file via email.
What if my client needs a receipt for multiple payments?
The best way to provide a receipt for multiple payments is to use the client's ledger statement. This can be found by going to Billing > Bill Client > Ledger Statement. For more information on the client ledger, please see: Client Ledger Statement.
