The Therabill Account Health/Healthcheck series is designed to help you get the most out of Therabill by staying on top of crucial workflows.
What?
The Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) To Do alert is generated when an ERA marked as New enters your account.
We recommend having all ERAs posted within 7 days of receipt.
Why?
Once the insurance processes the claim and you receive the ERA, it’s important to post the payments to ensure that your accounts are kept up to date, resolving outstanding balances, and completing patient invoicing. It is also important to ensure that the payment you receive in your bank account matches the payment amount the insurance company listed on the ERA.
How Often?
We recommend posting your ERAs Daily as shown in our workflow guide. At minimum these should be worked weekly to ensure that no ERA is older than 7 days.
Where?
- On your Therabill Dashboard, click on the Magnifying Glass to open the Filing > ERAs window, where you can see a list of all unposted ERAs.
- Next, set the Inv Date end date to 7 days before today. This will help you identify all ERAs over 7 days old.
- Because there are many ERAs over 7 days old, we should post these ASAP. Follow these instructions to post your ERAs.
