Documentation history gives you the ability to see all of your notes for a patient over time, quickly and easily without having to print them out to PDF. You can view all notes entered, using the documentation system, by date or as a scrollable list.
How to get to Documentation History
The documentation history is available from several places. We will describe the three main places below.
From the documentation entry form on the edit session form.
There will probably come a time while documenting a therapy session that you would like to look back at past notes that you created for the patient. For this reason, the documentation history is conveniently available from within the documentation entry form on the edit session form. This is the place on the edit session form where you would be entering your note. At the top right, there is a link labeled Doc History (see image below, circled in red). Click that link to open up the documentation history for the current patient associated with the therapy session you are documenting.
From the client list tools icon
You can access the documentation history for a patient directly from your client list. Your client list is found by clicking the Clients option in the top green navigation bar of Therabill. Each client in your client list has a series of icons. One of those icons is the tools icon (see image to the right, red arrow). Click the Tools icon to open up the client tools menu for that patient. In the menu, click on the Documentation History option (see image below, circled in red).
From the edit client form (client chart).
You can also access the client documentation history from within the edit client form. The edit client form is the form that opens up when you click the blue pencil associated with one of your clients. At the far top left of the edit client form, there are a series of icons. One of those icons is the documentation history icon
(see image below, circled in red). Click that documentation history icon to open up the documentation history for the patient that you are currently working on.
Using the Documentation History
The documentation history is a web page view of your documentation. You can access any note that you entered using Therabill's custom documentation system. For convenience, Therabill offers two views. The first view is 'by date tabs' and the second view is as a 'scrollable list'. The view can be changed using the link at the top right of the forms (circled in red in image below).
View Documentation History by Date Tabs
In the image to the right, the documentation history is being displayed using date tabs. When viewing documentation history using date tabs, only one note is visible at a time. On the left there is a column of date tabs. These dates refer to dates of service where a note has been entered.
NOTE: only dates of service where documentation using the custom documentation feature of Therabill are listed in the tabs.
To view a specific note for a specific date of service, simply click the date tab on the left. The note corresponding to that tab will then be visible in the viewer. When viewing the documentation history by date tabs, you can switch to the scrollable list by clicking the blue link at the top right that reads Show as list (see image above, circled in red).
View Documentation History by Scrollable List
When viewing the documentation history as a scrollable list, the date tabs shown in the image to the right will not be visible. Instead, all notes will be visible in the viewer. The notes will be in date descending order. Each note is separated by a grey divider containing the date of service and note type. Use your web browsers scrollbar to scroll down the page and view past notes.
When viewing the documentation history as a scrollable list, you can switch to the date tabs view by clicking the blue link at the top right that reads Show date tabs. This link is in the same position as the 'show as list' link shown in the image above (circled in red).
