When you enter a goal on a client using the Goal Set field in the custom documentation in Therabill, the goal is held in a separate goals database for the client. That is, if you are looking to edit or delete it from one of your custom databases, you will not find it there. Below are instructions for editing or deleting a goal that you have entered for a patient using the Goal Set field of the custom documentation feature of Therabill. If you are not familiar with the custom documentation feature of Therabill, please see: Therabill Documentation and Note Templates.
How to Edit a Client Goal
The best way to edit a client goal is through the note template that you entered the goal on. For example, if you have created a note template in Therabill with a Goal Set field, lets call it a Treatment Plan. You then used the treatment plan note template to create a goal for a client named Elvis Presley. After you created the treatment plan, you realize that you need to change the text of that goal. The best thing to do is edit the treatment plan (through the edit session form for the date of service that the treatment plan is associated with) and change the goal text. The kicker is that if you have already finalized the note, then you will not be able to edit the treatment plan note template for that session. If this is the case, then you will want to follow the instructions below for editing the text of the goal.
NOTE: After editing the text of the goal, the goal text on the (for example, treatment plan) will not be altered. It is best to create an addendum (using the addendum tab of the edit session form to indicate that you made changes to the text of the goal.
Using the Client Manage Goals form to edit the goal.
Click Clients in the top navigation bar of Therabill to go to your client list. In your client list, find the client that you want to edit the goal for. Click the client tools icon (see image above, circled in blue) associated with the client. A menu of options will appear. In that menu, choose Manage Goals (see image above, circled in red). This will open up the manage goals form for that client (see image below).
The manage goals form will list all goals that you have entered for the client. Each goal will have an edit icon associated with it (see image to the right, red arrow). Click the edit icon to edit the goal text and baseline text of that goal.
How to Delete a Client Goal
The only way to delete a client goal is through the manage goals form. To get to the manage goals form for a specific client, click Clients in the top navigation bar of Therabill to go to your client list. Find the client that you would like to delete a goal for and click the client tools icon associated with that client (see image above right, circled in blue). In the menu that appears, choose Manage Goals (see image above right, circled in red). This will open up the Manage Goals form shown in the image to the right.
The manage goals form lists every goal that you have entered for the client. Each goal will have a delete icon associated with it. Click the delete icon to delete that goal.
NOTE: If you already have a finalized note where you entered this goal, then the goal will not be removed from that finalized note. You should add an addendum to that session (using the Addendum tab at the top of the edit session form) to indicate that you removed the goal.
