Let's review how to change passwords within the application. There are 3 different types of logins: Admin, User, and Provider. Each login has a unique method for changing the password.
Password Requirements
When changing your password, you must adhere to the following security requirements:
- Previous passwords cannot be reused
- Must be between 12 and 64 characters
- Must contain:
- at least one lowercase letter (a-z)
- at least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
- at least one number (0-9)
- a special character (!@#$%^&=?_.:;\-)
- Passwords must match
🔐 Password Expired: All users are required to update their passwords every 90 days. After 90 days, Therabill will prompt you to change the password before logging in again.
Change the Admin/Main Account Password
- Navigate to Admin > Member Info. Under Member (Billing Provider) Information, click the Change Password link.
- Enter your new password information following the Password Requirements, then click Save Password.
📌 Note: You will receive an error message if you save the password without meeting all the rules or attempt to reuse a previous password.
Once your password is changed, you will be logged out of your account and prompted to log in with your new password.
Resetting Staff User Passwords
📌Note: Main Account and Admin users can only reset staff passwords.
- Navigate to Admin > User Account.
- Select the
icon for the corresponding user. Under Log in information, select the Reset Password link.
- Enter the new password following the Password Requirements, then select Save Password.
📌 Note: Users are not notified when their password has been changed. Be sure to provide them with the new password.
Change your User Account Password
- Navigate to Admin > User Accounts.
- Select the
icon for the corresponding user.
- Enter the new password following the Password Requirements, then click Save.
- Enter your new password the next time you log in.
Provider Account (Standalone)
When logged into the Admin/Main account:
- Navigate to Providers > Provider List.
- Select the
icon for the corresponding provider.
- Click on the Login tab.
- Select the Reset Password link.
- Enter the new password, then select Reset Password.
📌 Note: Providers are not notified when their password has been changed. Be sure to provide them with the new password.
When logged into the Provider account:
- Navigate to Provider.
- Under Provider, click the Change Password link.
- Enter the new password information and select Save Password.
- Use your new password the next time you log into your account.
Forgot Your Password
If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot Your Password? link on the login screen. You will be asked to enter the email address that is associated with your username and will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
